More Terrariums and a New WIP!

More Terrariums and a New WIP!

My second hobby is too messy...

I bought some plants about a week or so ago from JuciyKits.com to build a few more terrariums. They have a great selection and wonderful terrarium kits for anyone who doesn't want to drive around town picking up all the necessary supplies.

They also have great tutorials and tips on terrarium creation and care. Their 'Moonshine' series inspired me to make these cute little BlueMason Jar Terrariums!

Qor Watercolors Review

Qor Watercolors Review

GOLDEN paints are well known for their acrylics but have recently released a new line of watercolors dubbed Qor Modern Watercolors. They claim that these watercolors use a unique binder called Aquazol   which could hold greater amounts of pigment than the traditional watercolors using Gum Arabic as a binder.

Spring flowers & Inspiration

Spring flowers & Inspiration

Spring is finally here in NYC! Warm weather, flowers, sunshine all around...including allergies. Not so fun.

Watercolor Brands

Watercolor Brands

There are so many watercolor brands out there to choose from. How do you pick the best one for you? There are two types of watercolor paint which are usually labeled "student" grade and "artist" grade. I highly recommend purchasing the artist grade paints only because student grade is just not that good. They give you less pigment load in each tube and more metal fillers. This will result in more paint use but less color intensity achieved from each tube. If you are purchasing student grade,
