General FAQ

How did you learn how to draw and paint?

Read more about me here

Do you take commissions?

It depends. I have limited time so it is contingent on the size, complexity, and request type. You can contact me on direct messages via Instagram or e-mail me if you’re interested and maybe I’ll accept your request.

How do your commissions work?

50% deposit upfront before the painting starts and then 50% after it’s completed. You may choose the surface I paint on (types of paper or canvas, wood panels, etc). If I don’t have the materials, I may go out and buy them - prices are solidified before I accrue the materials. If you end up “ghosting” me on the commission, you forfeit the deposit since work has begun and I will add you to my “Blacklist of Buyers”. Therefore, serious inquiries only and be sure of what you want before you request a commission, please.

Do you Have a youtube or tiktok? other social media?

I have Instagram (very active), Facebook page (somewhat active), Pinterest (not really active), and Twitter (not at all active)

If you find me on other social media platforms, it’s probably an imposter and I would love it if you would let me know :)

Shop FAQ

Why are you only selling original paintings?

Currently, I do not have the time to create prints or utilize print-on-demand suppliers. I enjoy creating what I feel so a lot of my energy and emotion goes into each painting - they are all unique! I will choose to sell my original paintings in a limited format - not all may be available for sale. Once they are sold, they are gone forever. The exception to this rule: if I paint something in my sketchbook/art journal - you have the right to ask me to re-create it as a original painting for you to buy (like a commission). My art journal pages are always posted first on my Instagram before it is posted on my site.

Why is your artwork so “expensive”?

Honestly, I think I’m letting them go at a decent price. You are paying for my over a decade of art experience, my free time that went into the painting, and the story that comes with the painting. Each one is unique with it’s own story.

Art is priceless - even if I repaint something from my journal, no two brushstrokes will be exactly the same. The goal isn’t to “make money" off my art, I want it to be as valued and cherished as they are now with me. The price you’re paying is the price I’m willing to part with them. As an artist, I enjoy what I create and I’m not willing to part with my own artwork often. For “less expensive” paintings, I do post some of my smaller sketches and paintings sometimes that will be below $500. Prices are only negotiable if you buy more than one - contact me if so.

how do you price your paintings?

My general rule of thumb is $9-$11 per square inch of painting with time, complexity, and amount of pigments factored in. The more colors and details in a painting, the higher the cost per square inch of work. (Paint pigment is not cheap.) However, sometimes I may price a painting with sentimental value to be a bit higher than normal - this is known as my “willing to part with it price tag”.

I saw a painting in your art journal that i really want to buy! how do I buy it?

If you are the first to ask about a specific painting for purchase, i will re-create it for you as an original painting on either a larger scale or same size. I do not tear my art journal apart to sell.  This will be considered a commission.

How will my art be shipped?

I believe that all originals should be packed and shipped with the utmost care. I use USPS or UPS and personally package all my works to ensure that it arrives to you in the quality that it leaves.

How is the art packaged?

Paintings are shipped in boxes wrapped with bubble wrap or sealed sleeves. The artwork will be carefully placed to ensure that it does not get damaged. FREE shipping for all art shipped within the U.S. International may be subject to additional fees. Artwork will have shipping insurance included.

All original paintings will be sealed with a wax medium base to ensure it is waterproof before being packaged. Every canvas and framed work will be padded and wrapped carefully before shipping.

Does you ship internationally?

Yes, but I am not responsible for any delay or additional fees that may be incurred by customs. All shipped items come with tracking. Contact me for international orders or commissions.

Will tracking be provided?

Absolutely! In fact, shipments are never sent out without tracking. All shipments are tracked by USPS or UPS. However, it may take a few hours for tracking to work after it has been shipped out. If you cannot locate your package please contact USPS/UPS directly and they can assist you.

When will my order be shipped?

Original artwork may take up to 2-3 weeks depending on time needed to create the piece (if it’s a commission or re-creation of my art journal paintings). The estimated time for arrival may vary based on your geo-location.

What materials are the originals made with?

I usually use artist-grade watercolors and gouache (M. Grahams and Winsor & Newton) and artist colored pencils (Faber Castell Polychromos and Prismacolors). You can read about my art supplies here.

What is the turnaround time for an original painting?

Depends on the size and complexity of the piece. For standard journal size around 7.5in x 5.5in - around ~1 week and for anything larger may take 1-3 weeks. Turnaround time is also dependent on my free time since I am not a full-time artist yet and only create in my spare time outside of work hours. Your purchase will bring me closer to my dreams of being a FT artist! Thank you :)

Do you offer refunds after purchasing?

No, these are all original paintings so please be absolutely certain that you want the artwork/painting before buying.

What happens if my painting arrives damaged?

Please take a photo and send it to me immediately upon arrival no less than 1-2 business days from time of delivery (same-day you open package preferred). I am not responsible for damages in transit. However, I am not heartless and may offer you a discounted re-paint of the artwork or we can discuss - send me an email. Since these are all original paintings, there are no “print replacements” or any exchanges I can offer for it.

How will I know if a painting fits in my home?

Please read the size descriptions carefully as mockups are not to scale. Every painting listed may be a different size or not mocked according to scale.
